Project Overview

How we got started?

In March 2000, over 65 landowners attended a public meeting, which was held to survey landowners along the Cedar River and solicit comments regarding the streambank erosion.

A steering committee was then formed to provide leadership to the project.

Over $150,000 of funding for technical assistance, cost share to 12 landowners, education activities thus far.  We have applied for over $200,000 for the completion of 28 additional landowners sites and continuation of education activities.
